You have to start somewhere

I've been meaning to start a blog for ages. Months. No, years. I started one, but then realised it wasn't going anywhere.

And there's the question - what to write about?

However, more and more over recent weeks/months I've realised that that final question has answered itself. I am dealing with new technology all the time, (though how do you define 'new'? - well, new to me!) and am increasingly involved in introducing new technology to friends and colleagues.
And I realise how little most people know about such stuff. All techies should know about 'Web 2.0' and 'Clouds' and 100 other buzz words, but most non-techies still say 'Web What point Oh?'.

So this humble blog will be an effort to explain, describe or demystify some of the newer technologies around, whilst being accessible to the non-techie. There is a huge danger, I realise, that the non-techies may never read this. Another huge danger, of course, is that what I assume to be the right level of non-techie-speak for non-techies is either:

1. patronising, or
2. way too complicated.

But regardless, I shall endeavour to share my thoughts and see if I can help find the greatest thing since sliced-bread.
