I'm connected through LinkedIn to various groups, such as the 'E-Learning Guild', 'Social Media Today' and 'Web 2.0'... and someone posted a question asking for experiences on teaching kids and/or adults etc. in Second Life. The wealth of responses by people was quite surprising... not because so many people have so many experiences... you only have to subscribe to SLED - the Second Life Education Forum to know that... but that they.... we... are communicating through LinkedIn.
This is, to me, one of the fundamental problems with SL at present... you only get to know about stuff outside it... not from within.
Or perhaps I'm too much of a newbie?
We shall see...
